“And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.” (Matthew 28:18-20, NKJV)
At the end of Jesus’ ministry, He left a command to all believers. The above verses are that command. The command is simple; we, as believers, are to be sharing the gospel with everyone. We are to teach or disciple each other concerning all things that the Word of God has commanded us.
While the message is simple in understanding, putting it into practice is where things can be difficult. It is our goal as members of Hope Teens to share Christ with those around us and to learn and teach the truths contained in Scripture. We all have hang ups in certain areas, but we as the body of Christ exist to build one another up, to teach and to be taught what God desires us to know and to be obedient to that teaching.
There are a lot of things that fill our lives and take our time and energy. Our relationship with Christ is not something that we just add to everything else; it is everything. It is our aim to glorify God by knowing Him more and making Him known.
